In 2023, Alejandra was invited to participate in the first-ever FUSE: Collaborations in Song art song development program organized by Catalyst New Music and Boston Singers' Resource. Joining forces with composer Laura Intravia, soprano Jessica Toupin, and pianist Brendon Shapiro, a new song cycle, You and I, I and You was created and premiered on February 11, 2023.

You and I, I and You captures snapshots from the lives of two sisters, from the moment the bond of sisterhood is created with the birth of the younger, to the arguments and competition of early adolescence, to the quiet longing for togetherness found in adulthood. This song cycle explores a unique kind of love that, while distinct from romantic love, is just as passionate and everlasting.
